I know I’ve been silent and I’ve had a few people ask where I’ve been. Listen life comes at you fast and whew chile, I’ve been getting my life together. When I say getting my life together, I’ve been getting my whole life together. From my health, my personal relationships, to some of my new year goals I set. So please forgive my absence but sometimes we have to work silently and pull back from things that take from us. I needed a reality check.
So lets talk about my health, because when I originally started this blog I wanted to include my journey on the ketogenic lifestyle, but after going to the doctor and getting my blood work back, my doctor said my Vitamin D was low and my cholesterol was too high. YIKES! No more high fat diet for me! So although losing weight was one of my goals for the year, I know I have to refocus and start a new healthy lifestyle journey. So be on the look out for some recipes that will push me toward being a healthier me.
Then I was reading through my prayer journal (which I blogged about previously) and recognized that I had two resolutions/goals I had not pursued. Yes, we are 218 days into 2018 and I’m still working on making sure I fulfilled my new years resolutions/goals. If you don’t write out out your goals or do a vision board, it’s still not too late. I can’t become a better version of myself if I’m not evolving to be an improved woman. Everyday I’m learning more about myself. So in the new few post I’m going to share more about Adriane, all while encouraging and uplifting.
3 reasons why you should write out your goals:
- It gives you focus – making sure you are not wasting time and energy
- It measures progress – going back to read over your plans holds you accountable
- It activates faith- Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. – Habakkuk 2:2
“Short term motivations will lead to long term vision.”
How many of you are still trying to pursue your goals for the year? Have you done a recent reality check?
