The newest self care challenge: A break from social media

Some of you may not have noticed but I’ve been missing in action. I’ve received multiple texting messages from friends and family asking about the daily encouragement and devotionals. I’m around thriving but I’m taking a social media break. Social media can be exhausting.

Now I know a lot of people don’t feel like they need a break but I encourage some of you to just take a week off and you will see a difference in your lives. In just the two weeks I’ve been on hiatus I have, spent more time with my husband, worked out more, deep cleaned ALL 2550 sq feet of my house, caught up some work for my job (I’m still behind), took some great naps and completed the biggest challenge of all… folded the clothes as soon as they came out the dryer.

I’ve been missing all the challenges, trends, funny memes and the usual highlight reels of many of your lives. And honestly some of it I miss and most of it, I don’t. I promise I’m coming back but at some point, I just don’t know when because I didn’t set a date or time. I just want to come back when I feel like I’m ready and the time is right.

This isn’t a long post, I just wanted to encourage you all to try the newest self care challenge: A break from social media. I promise you won’t regret it.
